Surgery & Medical Imaging

Surgery

Comfort and pain control are always a priority.

Pain management is a part of our pre-operative, inter-operative and post-operative anesthetic and medical protocol. All surgical patients including those undergoing routine procedures such as spays, neuters and dentistry receive pain control medications.

Intravenous fluids are part of our routine surgical protocol. Intravenous fluids help to stabilize the blood pressure and heart rate while under anesthesia. They promote a quicker recovery and minimize the “anesthetic hang-over”, flushing the system and reducing the stress on the kidneys.

Medical Imaging

Due in part to advances in pain control medications and anesthetics most of our patients are feeling well enough to go home the day of surgery.

Please do not feed your pet 8 hours prior to a surgical appointment. Water may be given as usual.

X-rays are developed automatically in minutes.
